Early Saturday, Dorian was centered 470 miles east of West Palm Beach. It was moving northwest at 12 mph. Forecasters warned that its slow movement means Florida could face a prolonged wallop of wind, storm surge and torrential rain.
Please be cautious when driving as there is a possibility of flooding on the roadways within Boca Pointe. We have taken precautionary measures to lower the lake levels and cleared the storm drains to reduce this risk.
Security will begin a preliminary shutdown of the Guardhouses this evening, with a complete shutdown tomorrow around 11am. If the forecast turns more favorable, the gates will remain open. As always, patrol will remain active on property until conditions become unsafe.
Please also note that there will be NO GARBAGE COLLECTION ON MONDAY, please do not place your receptacles outside.
Given the uncertainties of the track forecast, Residents are encouraged to closely monitor information being disseminated by local news meteorologists and the National Hurricane Center and be ready to take action, if required.
We encourage all of our residents to be prepared and stay safe.
